Word Translation · DOCX

Your DOCX. Every language. Zero rework.

Upload a Word document and get back a DOCX in any of 60+ languages — with heading styles, tables, track changes, and comments exactly as you left them. Free trial, no card required, and the output is a real .docx file.

Upload. Translate. Edit.

Rian translates Word documents in three steps. First, upload your DOCX — drag in your Word file (.docx and .doc up to 200 MB), with no account needed for your first translation. Second, choose your language from 60+ targets, and optionally pick a domain such as Legal, Medical, or Technical to sharpen terminology. Third, download a real .docx file and open it in Word, Google Docs, or Pages to start editing right away.

Every detail makes the crossing

Rian translates inside the DOCX XML structure, so formatting survives the crossing to a new language.

Heading hierarchy

H1 through H6 styles translate with their weights, sizes, and spacing — no manual reformatting.

Tables & merged cells

Cell content translates while merged cells, borders, shading, and column widths stay intact.

Track changes

Existing tracked changes are preserved in the output, so your review workflow continues uninterrupted.

Comments & annotations

All comment threads are translated alongside the body text and kept anchored to the right paragraphs.

Footnotes & endnotes

Reference numbers stay matched, and footnote text is translated in context rather than in isolation.

Styles & themes

Character and paragraph styles, custom themes, and document-level fonts carry through to the output DOCX. Hyperlinks, text boxes, bookmarks, section breaks, page layout, and numbered lists are all preserved too.

Frequently asked questions

Does Rian preserve my heading styles (H1, H2, H3)?

Yes. We translate inside the DOCX XML structure so heading styles retain their style IDs and formatting. You will not see any change in font size, weight, colour or spacing when you open the translated file.

Are tables in Word documents translated correctly?

Yes. Text in every cell is translated; table structure, merged cells, borders and shading are not touched. Even complex tables with colspan and rowspan merge correctly in the output.

What happens to tracked changes and comments?

They are preserved in the output. Tracked insertions and deletions remain marked; comments are translated and stay anchored to the same text. Your existing review workflow continues without interruption.

My document uses custom fonts — will they survive?

Font references in the DOCX are preserved. If the target language requires a different character set (for example, Devanagari for Hindi), we substitute an appropriate font automatically while keeping your layout intact.

Can I keep the output editable in Microsoft Word?

Yes. The output is a standard .docx file — open it in Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice or any DOCX-compatible editor and start editing right away. It is not a PDF or image.

More formats. Same fidelity.

The same layout-preserving translation works across PDF, Excel, and more — output is always a native, editable file.
